During your visit with us, you will complete the following activities:

Tour of the school – you need to feel comfortable with us so you will be guided around one of our schools by our brilliant students who will be ready and willing to answer your questions about life at school, what it’s like to be a learner in our Trust and what qualities they like most in a teacher.

Subject Knowledge Meeting – You will have a 15-minute conversation with the Head of Key Stage (Primary) or chosen Subject Department Lead (Secondary) so that we can judge your passion and familiarity with your subject. Please don’t be daunted by this! This is used to provide us with information about where you might require training and support during your time here.

Lead a discussion with a small group of our students – you will be given a topic and asked to facilitate a conversation with them. This is an opportunity for us to see how well you work with young people and your communication skills.

Deliver a lesson to a class – This will be 10 minutes on a topic related to the subject or phase you have chosen to apply for. You will be a given a topic beforehand so that you can prepare. After you have delivered the lesson you will have a chance to reflect on how it went with a member of our team.

Panel Interview

A traditional format aiming to bring together the different elements of the day.
